Can't say I have had the time to do the extensive research to verify or deny your many comments. I have not seen any evidence though that there are any significant oil fields out there, or that oil is "renewable" in any convenient time frame. There are other possibilities though that are obviously being denied by our government.
As for gun control and Chompsky's comments. It probably is a good thing in these times that people have guns; but Chompsky's reasoning has a good deal of truth to the matter as well-recall Waco-and the thousands of murders annually by hand gun owners. Ghandi accomplished what was necessary without major violence. The "Left" could do so as well.
As for 911 and Chompsky being a "gatekeeper", I am afraid to say there is credence to your arguments. I only hope that there are true left activist "securing" the WTC remains that have been found recently. This evidence could blow the roof off any 911 detractors; and likewise dampen it if not examined honestly.

"But in reality oil is abiotic and constantly regenerating."

This statement is just one of the many examples of Daniel L. Abrahamson's level of intellect and reasoning abilities (or, lack there of).

People like Daniel Abrahamson, Alex Jones, and all the other poeple of their ilk who have imprisoned themselves inside of a paranoid dispairing reality, isolated from real connections with human communities, as well as the non-human world that our civilization's way of life is quickly exterminating, somehow always freak out whenever they smell the smallest whiff of anything involving a collective structure for making change in the world. The entire left, or anyone else, who comes up with any solutions that involve collective "restraints" or collective mobilization or collective working together, or collective whatever, are automatically accused of being part of the ALL POWERFUL AND MONOLITHIC NEW WORLD ORDER "who obviously just want to control people" evildoers.

There is so many exagerations, inconsistencies, and outright fabrications in Abrahamson's characterizations of Chomsky that it would fill pages and pages to point them all out.

Yes, I'm frustrated with Chomsky's closed-mindedness or resistence towards addressing the issue of larger supercorporate and supranational structures of power, as well as the 9/11 and JFK conspiracies. And, yes, I might even agree that Chomsky is infected with a certain amount of elitism, which probably explains at least some of Chomsky's gate-keeper-like behavior.

But accusing Chomsky of being a CIA deep cover agent is way over the top and not very convincing to me considering all the instances I am aware of in which Chomsky personally got involved with certain people's movements and helped bring attention to certain groups who's human rights were being violated, which actually did result in an improving situation for many of those groups at the expense of imperial/state/corporate power.

We also need to first consider the source of this criticism, i.e. the particular biases of people like Abrahamson and how these biases color their perspective of the world. Remember, they are trying to fit everything into their theory of an illumaniti-like, multi-millenium ALL POWERFUL AND KNOWING (and its hopeless so don't even bother to try to change things) conspiracy model. And, if they can't even figure out whether oil is biotic or abiotic, do we really have to take any of their analysis seriously?

And just because Chomsky, or anyone else who doesn't know, hasn't studied, or become a believer in every single thing the Alex Jones/Abrahamson/Jeff Rense/-and other's-who-belong-to- that-particular-conspiracy-church have, doesn't automatically make them CIA deep cover agents, else that would mean that 99% or more of the population are also CIA deep cover agents. Not very worthwhile analysis, in my opinion.

Chomsky is a CIA agent, in a two party system you need only control both parties and you control the world. I would spend 50 cents to hear him speak at this point, he is worthless.

It's easy - collect the cash now and pay later at a fixed, low rate. ... Want to slice the cost of your next payday loan in half? Here's how. ...cash express payday loan

Payday Loan Advocate

After turning himself in to authorities, 20 year old David Kernell, son of Democratic Representative of Tennessee, Mike Kernell, is facing five years in prison, a $250,000 fine and three years of supervised release. He will be charged for hacking into GOP VP candidate Sarah Palin’s personal E-mail account. It is alleged that after reading the contents, he took a screen shot and posted it on a public Web site. The contents included email addresses, pictures, birthdays, and phone numbers of family members and more. To top it off, after resetting the password, he also posted the new one he had created, which allowed others to access the E-mail account themselves. Nonetheless, Kernell pleaded not guilty to the charges. Facing a $250,000 fine is intense. At $1,500 per loan, it would take about 167 individual payday loans to cover that outrageous expense.

Problems with your analysis:
1) Peak Oil: Oil is not a renewable resource. You provide NO evidence to the contrary. Fields are not self renewing. Over 50% of ALL oil producing nations have passed their peak production. No large new fields have been discovered since the 1970s. That is why oil companies buy existing oil companies for billions of dollars... for their assets... Not because oil is self-renewing... Duh! Believing everything Alex Jones/Rense/etc say is stupid since you would have to then believe that there are evil devils controlling the world (are they the CIA assets?) They are the ones spreading fear, etc. just like the elites. Illuminati is a joke people. For a better analysis check out recent sociological research concerning elite groups, power etc. The "elite" is not a monolithic group that worships satan.... Don't be so stupid like Alex Jones, etc. There are real conflicts within the elite and their ideas for the future and how to maintain power. People in power do not remain their forever... power shifts over time and families, etc.
2) Chomsky (and Ed Herman) do discuss the CIA in Manufacturing Consent or their other books. I am not defending him since his analysis of JKF/9/11 is horrible. However, lets get some things straight. What they do provide is an institutional analysis of the mass media. Great book actually. But it is deficient in many ways. Thanks for pointing them out....
3) Further, not to waste time here, but neither Chomsky nor Herman think the UN is anything other an institution controlled by the US. Have you even bothered to read their work? or did you just cut and paste this article from Rense/Jones drivel?
